About This Mission
ReSeed-7 focused on a newly identified area within the broader ReSeed site, combining elements of both reforestation and pollinator support. While parts of the terrain had naturally regenerated, there were still under-vegetated zones and low pollinator activity. The mission aimed to increase tree density and plant a mix of flowering species to promote biodiversity, integrating lessons learned from previous missions to optimize seed placement and ecosystem impact.

Challenges
Key challenges included navigating mixed terrain with varying vegetation density, which affected flight paths and seed dispersion accuracy. Additionally, balancing the deployment of heavier tree seeds with lighter flowering seeds required careful calibration of the drone's release mechanism.
Learnings
From this mission, the team learned to refine payload distribution techniques and flight altitude strategies, improving coverage efficiency. The experience also reinforced the value of integrating pollinator-supportive planting alongside reforestation to enhance overall ecosystem recovery.
