About This Mission
Mission 3 was conducted immediately following Mission 2, within the same post-fire area. As part of the ReSeed Weekend initiative, the mission aimed to expand reforestation efforts by deploying additional seed bombs and increasing coverage in under-vegetated zones. Insights from the previous flight allowed for more precise seeding and a greater focus on enhancing vegetation density and species diversity across the site.
Challenges & Learnings
Challenges
Although the team applied lessons from Mission 2, varying wind conditions and uneven terrain still posed challenges to flight stability and seed dispersion. Coordination among multiple drones during the weekend event required careful timing to avoid overlap.
Learnings
These experiences reinforced the importance of precise altitude control, synchronized flight paths, and real-time monitoring. Adjustments to drone programming and deployment protocols during this mission improved seeding accuracy and informed planning for future multi-drone operations.
